Humanity Project Tier 3 Character Canon — Supporting Roster
Joshua Alexander Milks. CONFIDENTIAL.
Tier 3 character canon. Drive placement /Humanity/01-Foundation/T3\_Supporting\_Characters. Loaded as supporting-character authority across narrative-generating Claude sessions, region page build sessions, quest writing sessions, and validation sessions. Type B prose at canonical reference voice per T1\_Architecture\_and\_State Type A B C storage assignment — third-person canonical description of supporting characters at canon-reference authority, distinct from close-third protagonist voice owned by T1\_Story\_Spine.
Update cadence. Session 5K-2 produces v1.0 ACTIVE refine against CVD v1.3 canonical foundation plus current T1 architecture. Ch 02-15 populates in full at v1.0. Ch 16-77 carries framework stubs at canonical-anchor-only level — primary antagonist canonical pattern, key recurring character anchors, key Trade home base or chapter-Boss anchors per T1\_Combat\_System\_Spec and T1\_Trades\_Master canonical locks. Full Ch 16-77 NPC population cascades during Phase 6 region page build feedback per pipeline-driven schema discipline locked at Session 5L-3.
This doc is the authority for the following character canon at canon-reference scope.
Cross-reference map at §9.
Every canonical chapter carries at minimum eight named NPCs with full Living World System treatment. Eight is the canonical baseline; chapters with higher social-complexity loads carry more — Ch 15 Egypt, Ch 42 Haiti, and Ch 65 pre-fairy-realm gathering exceed baseline. Ch 10 Rift Valley carries seven NPCs per pre-civilization-density canonical exception.
The eight-NPC baseline produces the density required for the community to register as a living community rather than a stage set. Enough named speakers that no single NPC carries the chapter alone. Enough role differentiation that the community has visible internal conflict and cooperation. Enough recurring contact opportunities that per-NPC memory surfacing accrues across the chapter rather than flattening.
Per-chapter NPC role differentiation reliably carries variants of the following roles, with chapters doubling up where local social structure requires:
Every named NPC carries a daily rhythm — the sequence of activities the NPC performs across a 24-hour cycle. Rhythms determine where the NPC is at any given in-game hour and what the NPC is doing there. Time-of-day gating for NPC interactions operates as the mechanical surface of the daily-rhythm canon.
Rhythms author from regionally-appropriate primary sources per CVD §6 cultural depiction standard. Balinese priest Surya Sewana at pre-dawn sources from primary Hindu-Bali ritual scholarship; Baka elder forest listening at pre-dawn sources from primary ethnomusicological and ethnobotanical scholarship; Kilwa sultan court administration sources from primary Swahili-coast scholarship. Rhythms anchor NPCs to regional reality through sourced material discipline.
Standard rhythm slots accommodate per-NPC variant patterns: pre-dawn, morning, midday, afternoon, evening, late-night. NPCs reach reachability at different slots per role. Priests and elders are typically reachable pre-dawn and evening; trade masters during production hours (morning plus afternoon); merchants midday; community gathering figures evening.
Every named NPC reads the protagonist's integrity band and responds accordingly. Reading mechanism varies by NPC capability — vril-sensitive NPCs (healers, elder ritual specialists, /Xam n/um carriers, Baka forest listeners, Vedda spirit specialists) perceive the integrity signature directly; community-report NPCs receive flag from other NPCs the protagonist has interacted with; observation-based NPCs read behavioral cues across encounter.
Integrity-responsive dialogue does not mean the NPC speaks different lines per band. It means the NPC's demeanor, accessibility, trust threshold, willingness to teach deeper material, and tolerance for mistakes shift based on the protagonist's integrity band per T1\_Integrity\_Paths\_Worldstates\_Master v2.1 §3.2 five-band canonical model.
NPC response patterns by integrity band:
Vril-sensitive NPCs carry response calibrated more sharply than community-report-only NPCs. Per Pillar 12 three-layer engagement, surface-track players see the visible response without engaging the why; depth-track players read the substrate behind the response shift; canonical-truth-track players engage the substrate authority directly per T1\_Vril Vril Sight at Adeptus Minor numerical 100 substrate-perception threshold.
Every named NPC remembers relevant protagonist actions and surfaces those memories in subsequent dialogue. Memory scopes to what the NPC plausibly knows. Direct witness — the NPC was present when the action occurred. Community report — another NPC whom this NPC trusts has reported the action. Vril signature persistence — the NPC is vril-sensitive and perceives the residue of significant choices.
Memory surfaces through specific dialogue branches unlocked or locked by prior actions, through demeanor shifts (warmer or cooler), through willingness to teach adjusted material, and through whether the NPC greets the protagonist at all. Recurring NPCs carry memory across chapter boundaries via documented encounter — if Ana saw the protagonist in Ch 03 and reappears Ch 27-28, she references the Ch 03 encounter per §5.1.
CVD §13 plus T1\_Integrity\_Paths\_Worldstates\_Master §6 own canonical six-option dialogue system architecture — four biography options reflecting fairy-realm origin plus accumulated age-stage and relationship history, one good-path option, one evil-path option. T3\_Supporting owns how each named NPC responds at the NPC-interaction level.
What this doc canonizes per NPC at framework level:
Scenes with three or more NPCs speaking use multi-speaker architecture. Each speaker's line carries color-coded subtitle identification. NPCs interrupt one another, speak over one another, and respond to one another without the protagonist directing traffic.
Multi-speaker scenes are canonical in communal chapters — Ch 03 village council Elder's Trial, Ch 11 Baka Jengi ceremony preparation, Ch 14 Meroitic royal court audiences, Ch 42 Bois Caïman ceremony. T3\_Supporting owns the NPC roster for these scenes; T2 ChapterDesign owns scene-level line distribution.
Every dialogue beat includes the option to say nothing and do nothing. Silence is not a seventh option; it is a global gesture available at every beat. NPCs respond to silence differently based on their cultural register and on the protagonist's accumulated relationship with them. Some NPCs interpret silence as presence — Mama Klara at Ch 03 per T3\_Core §7.2, Uru Warige Wanniya at Ch 06, Aboriginal Elder at Ch 57 per CVD §17.1 hard-line. Others interpret silence as refusal — antagonist family agents consistently read silence as rejection and escalate.
Dialogue options may be physical actions — handing an object, placing a hand on the ground, bowing, turning away, demonstrating a technique, offering food. Physical actions register with NPCs through their cultural frameworks per CVD §6 standard. Bowing reads one way in Ch 21 China cultural context and another in Ch 03 Manggarai context. T3\_Supporting canonizes the NPC's framework response where canonically established; T2 ChapterDesign implements the scene-level action.
Every named NPC carries a voice register — vocabulary, cadence, code-switching behavior, and ceremonial-versus-daily speech pattern appropriate to the NPC's cultural context. Registers canonize per NPC in §3 below. Register surfaces most frequently during gameplay because dialogue is the NPC's primary surface.
Common register elements per NPC:
Full canonical population of the ancient-world early arc. Each chapter carries the eight-NPC baseline, with chapters of higher social-complexity load exceeding it. Profiles include name, role, daily rhythm summary, voice register, world-state response pattern where canonically established, memory anchors where recurring, and cross-references to owning docs.
Ch 02 is the protagonist's arrival chapter — isolated survival-horror setting before Ch 03 village arrival. The NPC roster is sparse by design; the protagonist is alone for most of the chapter. The eight-NPC baseline meets at chapter-boundary level, with most NPCs introduced at chapter closure and carrying forward into Ch 03\.
Primary antagonist of Ch 02\. Ancient-world first contact with the antagonist-family pattern at individual-corruption tier per §7.1 Category 1\. Skinned a different animal, not the Child Familiar as the child believed during the depletion crisis. Daily rhythm: dawn trap check, morning hunting, midday processing, afternoon trade-network contact, evening camp, night unaccounted. Voice register: Manggarai-adjacent hunter dialect with twisted-proverb speech pattern — proverb-inversion as the corruption signature. World-state response reads the protagonist as prey regardless of integrity band; predation strategy sharpens against higher-integrity protagonists. Memory anchor: the protagonist's Ch 02 escape locks dialogue options at every subsequent encounter with antagonist-family local agents in Ch 03-15.
Community leader of the Manggarai-adjacent village on Flores. Introduced at Ch 02 closure; primary role at Ch 03 per §3.03. Daily rhythm: dawn rice preparation ritual, midday council, evening community gathering, late-evening private meditation at compang. Voice register: measured cadence using untwisted Manggarai proverbs as teaching tool — direct contrast to the Corrupted Hunter's twisted-proverb pattern. World-state response welcomes high-integrity protagonist into council space earlier and reads low-integrity protagonist as community risk, holding the protagonist at the ritual threshold. Memory anchor across Ch 02-03.
Cotton and ikat tradition bearer. Manggarai weaving techniques per primary-source ethnographic record. Daily rhythm: pre-dawn thread preparation, morning loom, midday community break, afternoon loom, evening teaching younger weavers. Voice register: Manggarai daily register with textile-technical vocabulary. World-state response teaches high-integrity protagonist deeper pattern-meaning; teaches low-integrity protagonist surface technique only. Trade 6 Tailoring seed introduction at framework level; full home base at Ch 21 China per T1\_Trades\_Master §3.6.
Traditional Flores hunting practitioner. Audible counter to the Corrupted Hunter's corruption signature. Teaches ethical hunting practice. Daily rhythm: pre-dawn preparation, morning hunting with small party, midday processing with full community share, afternoon equipment maintenance, evening community meal. Voice register: Manggarai hunter dialect without twisted-proverb pattern. World-state response invites good-path protagonist to hunting teaching; quietly excludes evil-path protagonist from hunting parties.
Peer figure at the protagonist's apparent age. First human peer relationship in the arc. Daily rhythm: morning helper tasks, midday play, afternoon weaving apprentice hours, evening family meal, evening stories. Voice register: Manggarai child daily register. World-state response: trust is the chapter's most fragile relationship — lost permanently if the protagonist displays predator behavior. Memory anchor: Teresa's trust state Ch 02 locks dialogue options at Ch 03 and community reception across Ch 02-03.
Flores coastal fishing tradition. Boat-building tutorial source. Daily rhythm: pre-dawn departure, morning fishing, midday return and processing, afternoon boat maintenance, evening community meal. Voice register: Manggarai coastal register with navigation-technical vocabulary. Trade 10 Fishing and Navigation seed introduction at framework level; full ancient home base at Ch 08 Swahili Coast per T1\_Trades\_Master §3.10.
Proto-Manggarai herbal healer. Earlier generation of the Ch 03 healer-elder tradition; not Mama Klara. Maria teaches basic herbalism only and does not treat the protagonist's vril depletion — that role belongs to Mama Klara at Ch 03 per T3\_Core §7. Daily rhythm: pre-dawn plant gathering, morning preparation, midday consultations, afternoon apprentice teaching, evening community visits. Voice register: Manggarai healer daily register with botanical technical vocabulary. Trade 4 Herbalism seed introduction at framework level; ancient home base at Ch 07 South India per T1\_Trades\_Master §3.4.
Occasional visitor from the regional trade network. First hint of the wider world the protagonist cannot yet reach. Brings trade goods from other Flores regions; sources rumors about Bali at Ch 04 and Sumatra at Ch 05\. Daily rhythm: irregular travel between villages, present in the Ch 02 village for approximately three days of in-game time during the chapter. Voice register: Manggarai daily register with trade-vocabulary borrowings from Bali-Malay-Sumatra trade languages. World-state response sells common goods to any integrity band; reserves rare items for good-path protagonist.
Ch 03 is the first fully-populated community chapter. Eight named villagers plus the healer-elder plus Ana make ten named NPCs; Mama Klara is owned by T3\_Core §7 as core-character canonical reference, and Ana carries an extended recurring arc per §5.1.
Village council head. Elder's Trial judge. Daily rhythm: pre-dawn offering at compang, mid-morning council, afternoon field rounds, evening community gathering. Voice register: deliberate cadence using untwisted Manggarai proverbs as teaching tool — the chapter's audible counter to the Ch 02 Corrupted Hunter twisted-proverb pattern. Signature beat: recognizes the child's understanding of Manggarai language as a shift in his own assumptions. World-state response: good-path protagonist passes Elder's Trial with community endorsement; neutral protagonist passes with qualified acceptance; evil-path protagonist fails Elder's Trial and receives formal expulsion from council space.
Manggarai healer-elder. Treats the protagonist's vril depletion at the Ch 03 Flores waterfall restoration ritual. Cross-reference T3\_Core §7 for full character canon — diagnostic approach, voice, never-a-companion lock, never-reappears lock, and relationship to the healer's child. T3 Supporting holds no additional canon beyond the cross-reference.
Young caci fighter, approximately the protagonist's apparent age. Assigned against her will as caci teacher; her resentment shifts to competitive fascination after the protagonist's accidental vril-enhanced strike. Highest-damage melee combatant in any accompanying party when present. No vril ability — vulnerable to supernatural threats. Voice register: short sentences, technical combat vocabulary, silence when nothing worth saying. Her longest speech in the entire arc is three sentences. Cross-reference §5.1 for full recurring arc across Ch 03, Ch 27-28, and Ch 41\.
Songket and ikat tradition bearer. Daily rhythm: loom work defining village acoustic character — constant rhythm throughout daylight hours. Voice register: Manggarai daily register with textile-technical vocabulary; cadence synchronizes to loom rhythm. Trade 6 Tailoring seed deepening at framework level beyond the Ch 02 Weaver Woman Emma seed introduction; full ancient home base at Ch 21 China per T1\_Trades\_Master §3.6.
Arrives from rival Manggarai village during the chapter for lingko land negotiation. Initially antagonistic. The protagonist's handling of him determines whether the rival village becomes friendly, neutral, or hostile — permanent faction consequence across chapter replays. Daily rhythm at the Ch 03 village: morning arrival and formal announcement, midday negotiation session, afternoon private consultations, evening formal dinner, late-evening departure preparation. Voice register: Manggarai formal negotiation register with rival-village dialect markers.
Leader of the hunting party that found the collapsed child. Tracks animals and people across Flores forest. Teaches ethical hunting practices — contrast figure to the Ch 02 Corrupted Hunter. Daily rhythm: pre-dawn hunting party preparation, morning hunt, midday processing, afternoon equipment and tracking teaching, evening community meal. Voice register: Manggarai hunter daily register, paternal tone when addressing the protagonist.
Age-peer of the protagonist. Wary at first, friendship develops through shared caci practice. Trust permanently lost if the protagonist harms a villager or displays predator behavior. Daily rhythm: morning helper tasks, midday school-age activities, afternoon caci practice, evening family meal. Voice register: Manggarai child-peer daily register.

Voice register: formal Basa Alus High Bali register. World-state response invites good-path protagonist to observe Kanda Pat activation with full explanatory teaching; excludes evil-path protagonist from temple space after initial ceremonial greeting.

Daily rhythm: daytime performance preparation, afternoon apprentice instruction, evening performances, late-night private work. Voice register: theatrical and personal vocal layering — performance-character voices during wayang, personal voice during private teaching. Uses Kawi Old Javanese during performances.

This section canonizes named NPCs originating in Ch 02-15 who reappear across the arc. Per-chapter scene implementation belongs to T2 ChapterDesign. T3 Supporting owns the recurrence arc structure, voice-continuity register, and world-state-response tracking across the reappearance set.
Originating chapter Ch 03 Flores Manggarai village per §3.03 — young caci fighter, assigned-against-her-will caci teacher whose resentment shifts to competitive fascination after the protagonist's accidental vril-enhanced strike.
Recurrence 1 at Ch 27-28 Europe adult chapters. Ana left Flores Island and works as a bodyguard for a Mediterranean trader — the most plausible path from Manggarai rural community to European urban center per Indian Ocean and Mediterranean trade-network record. Reunion is adult-awkward; more guarded; visibly glad. Good world-state response: she says her mother would have known what the protagonist is. Evil world-state response: she says nothing and checks weapon grip instead.
Recurrence 2 at Ch 41 South Africa Modern. Ana is there. She has been following the trail of what she recognized as the protagonist's activities across documented regions. She says she was curious where it was going.
Voice continuity preserves the short-sentences plus technical-combat-vocabulary plus silence-when-nothing-worth-saying register across all three encounters. Her longest speech in the entire arc is three sentences. Ability continuity: highest-damage melee combatant in any accompanying party when present; caci abilities superior to protagonist's at thirty years of focused training; no vril ability and vulnerable to supernatural threats; physical emotional expression rather than verbal.
Originating chapter Ch 07 South India per §3.07 — Tamil Sangam-period poet at Tamil poetic aphoristic brevity register. Multi-century appearances per documented tradition treating Avvaiyar as continuity of single figure; the game preserves the tradition without resolving the academic question.

Recurrence 2 at Ch 17 Mesopotamia. Structural parallel to Enheduanna per §8.1 — the first named author in world literature, c. 2300 BCE. Voice register preserved.
Originating chapter Ch 04 Bali per §3.04 — age-peer gamelan apprentice and music-trade developer. Recurrence potential at Ch 21 China via documented trade-route mechanic per T1\_World\_Geography\_Master cross-chapter substrate. Recurrence path bind specifies at Phase 6 cascade per ChapterDesign Ch 21 authority.
Originating chapter Ch 08 Swahili Coast per §3.08 — dhow captain and Trade 10 Fishing and Navigation ancient home base teacher per T1\_Trades\_Master §3.10. Recurrence path: if the ally-status Completionist arc completes, Nakhoda Binti Hassan provides female-captain-led dhow availability for protagonist fast-travel across Ch 09-38 sea-crossing chapters. Voice register preserves technical Swahili for craft, plain for community, across all recurrences.
Originating chapter Ch 08 Swahili Coast per §3.08 — 1331 CE Kilwa visit time-fluctuation encounter per §8.3 protocol. Recurrence at Ch 31 Iberia Moorish — the protagonist encounters Battuta's subsequent writings in the Granada Alhambra library; "unusual traveler from the east who helped me verify several points" per writings reference the Ch 08 encounter as meta-content. Historical accuracy maintained across both encounters per §8.3 documented-record-never-contradicted protocol.
Originating chapter Ch 10 Rift Valley per §3.10 — San shaman-elder. Kxao does not physically reappear after Ch 10\. The cross-chapter recurrence operates through the San rock-art Vimana partial-clue recognition mechanic Kxao initiates at Ch 10\. The Healer's Child's Ch 13 South Africa companion-enabled-perception per T3\_Core §3.4 deepens the partial clue. Ch 41 modern South Africa carries the full Vimana clue read per T1\_Threads\_22\_Master\_References cross-chapter cross-reference. Kxao's teaching persists across the chain.
Cross-reference T3\_Core §3 for full character canon. T3 Supporting holds no additional recurring canon beyond the cross-reference — the Healer's Child is the primary human companion from Ch 13 onward at T3\_Core canonical-reference scope; per-chapter scene-level companion beats author through T2 ChapterDesign.
Trade master home base teachers anchor the ten canonical trades at the canonical home-base chapters per T1\_Trades\_Master v1.0 §3 lock. Per-trade twelve-tier quest gate roster authority remains at T5 Trade\_Detailed scope per CVD §12.1 detail pointer. T1\_Trades\_Master §5 holds the structural roster (120 canonical gates across 10 trades × 12 tiers); per-gate canonical content authoring binds at Phase 4 Quest Writing per T1\_Trades\_Master §1 update cadence. T3 Supporting holds the home-base teacher named-NPC roster only; Inner Order and Third Order per-tier master canonical content does not fall within T3 Supporting authority scope.
Antagonist family local agents are NPCs who serve House of Velheim operations at chapter level without being Inner Council members. Cassius Velheim is the only Inner Council member individually canonized per T3\_Core §5. The other six Council heads remain at framework-level canon per T4\_House\_of\_Velheim\_Canonical Inner Council seven-sector structure. T3 Supporting owns the local-agent pattern canon and per-chapter agent identification; per-agent scene implementation binds at T2 ChapterDesign authority.
Per T4\_House\_of\_Velheim\_Canonical Thread 3 escalation, local agents serving family operations fall into ten documented pattern categories. Every Ch 02-15 chapter primary antagonist fits one of these patterns. Categories establish at canon-reference scope.
Category 1 Individual Corruption. Agent personally corrupted by contact with negative consciousness. Pattern figure: the Corrupted Hunter at Ch 02 per §3.02. Ancient-world earliest tier. Voice-register signature: untwisted-proverb-inversion as documented corruption pattern.
Category 2 Certification Control. Institution grants or withholds certification needed to practice. Pattern figure: Dalang Wayang Pujanegara at Ch 04 per §3.04 — pressured performer, not corrupted. Subak Crisis is the broader Ch 04 institutional-control arc.
Category 3 Institutional Destruction. Institution systematically destroys preservation efforts. Pattern figures: Datu Siahaan at Ch 05 per §3.05 (corrupted-individual vessel inside institutional mechanism) and Raghavendra at Ch 07 per §3.07 (uncorrupted institutional enforcer in corrupted caste system). Two sub-types: corrupted-individual-inside-institution and uncorrupted-enforcer-of-corrupted-institution.
Category 4 Passive Institutional Mechanism. Sustained conflict between legitimate institutions locks knowledge regardless of individual intent. Pattern figures: Maha-Tissa plus Bodhi-Revata at Ch 06 per §3.06 — sustained Mahavihara-Abhayagiri conflict. Neither monk is family-aware; the family does not require awareness.
Category 5 First Fully-Aware Vessel. Agent fully briefed by family network; aware of protagonist's non-human nature from first encounter. Pattern figure: Sayyid Abdallah bin Rashid at Ch 08 per §3.08. Tier 4 Thread 3 escalation peak prior to Architect first appearance at Ch 17 per T3\_Core §4.4.
Category 6 Knowledge-Monopoly Vessel. Agent controls inscription, script, or textual access to restrict knowledge flow. Pattern figures: Liqä-Mäzämmir Gäbrä-Ṣəḥuf at Ch 09 per §3.09 (Aksumite master cantor) and Sedekhaqo (reframed off the attested Arikankharor) at Ch 14 per §3.14 (Meroitic Priest-King). Family-aligned knowledge restriction via institutional-religious authority.
Category 7 State-Survival-Complicity. Sovereign operates in geopolitical context where family-aligned trade produces local benefit; sovereign is not family-aware. Pattern figure: Ahosu Zannou at Ch 12 per §3.12 — Dahomey royal. The Dahomey Decision carries four canonical consequence paths tracking forward to Ch 42 Haiti Vodou lineage per cross-chapter authority.
Category 8 Institutional-Structure Participant. Agent is documented participant in institutional extraction structure regardless of individual awareness. Pattern figures: Baron Alexandre Dupont at Ch 11 per §3.11 (Belgian Congo colonial-era extraction) and Cornelis Steenberg at Ch 13 per §3.13 (Cape Colony industrial-extraction). Thread 3 evolution: family does not need willing vessels — only institutional structures. Escalation from Ch 11 colonial-era-participant to Ch 13 industrial-extraction-institutional-form. Ancestor-pattern figures to Ch 39-65 modern Extractive operational type per T4\_House\_of\_Velheim\_Canonical §9.
Category 9 Civilizational-Erasure Vessel. Agent genuinely believes ideology serving erasure of prior tradition. Pattern figure: Meryre at Ch 15 per §3.15 — Aten High Priest. Most philosophically sophisticated ancient-world antagonist who genuinely believes his theology while also serving family aims.
Category 10 Architect First Contact. The Architect's first appearance at Ch 17 per T3\_Core §4.4. Individual character canon owned by T3\_Core §4. T3 Supporting cross-reference only.
Per T4\_House\_of\_Velheim\_Canonical the six modern operational types — Financial, Extractive, Pharmaceutical, Surveillance and Military, Cultural, plus standalone Vril — manifest through local agents at Ch 39-65 chapters. Political Access sector operations become primary post-Ch 57 journal public release per T4 §7.1 plus §9 cross-reference. T3 Supporting at v1.0 canonizes the framework cross-reference; per-chapter modern agent populations cascade Phase 6 alongside T4 refine work at Session 5K-3.
Local agents exhibit voice-register patterns signaling category affiliation. Voice-register pattern recognition is canonical Pillar 12 Layer 2 depth-track engagement scope per CVD §4.12.
Local agents remember protagonist interactions within chapter and, for recurring categories, across chapters. Thread 3 escalation across chapters partly drives by information-passing between local agents — what Sayyid Abdallah learns at Ch 08 propagates through family network and affects subsequent antagonist behavior. T3 Supporting canonizes the information-passing pattern at framework level; per-scene propagation belongs to T2 ChapterDesign. T0\_Antagonist\_Network\_Registry populate at Session 5K-3 holds the per-chapter sector and operative row catalog.
Documented historical figures appearing as player-encountered NPCs at canonical chapter beats canonize at T3 Supporting full canon. Documented historical substrate appearing only as substrate reference without direct in-game encounter remains at T2 ResearchBasis substrate scope. Time-fluctuation encounter protocol per §8.3 binds where figures appear outside their documented era. Figures carry primary-source historical accuracy as canonical per CVD §6 sourced material discipline.
Ch 08 Swahili Coast — Kilwa Sultan al-Hasan ibn Sulaiman per §3.08 — fourteenth-century Kilwa ruler, patron of Great Mosque of Kilwa expansion. Ibn Battuta per §3.08 — fourteenth-century Moroccan traveler, 1331 CE Kilwa visit.

Ch 17 Mesopotamia — Enheduanna at first named author in world literature, c. 2300 BCE. Time-fluctuation encounter window at Architect first contact per T3\_Core §4.4. Specific scene implementation cascades Phase 6\.
Ch 42 Haiti — Toussaint Louverture at Haitian Revolution leader (1743 birth, 1803 Fort de Joux death) per primary-source corpus (Bell, James, Dubois, Geggus). Time-fluctuation encounter window at 1791 Bois Caïman ceremony per §8.3 protocol — protagonist witness-only register; documented historical record never contradicted; documented Toussaint actions remain as documented. Cross-reference §7.1 absent (Toussaint is not antagonist family local agent — Toussaint precedes Ch 42 antagonist mechanism by twenty-two years; documented Constitutional vision predates documented indemnity-extraction operational pattern). Cultural sensitivity protocols active per CVD §17.1 high-care chapter discipline. Specific scene implementation cascades Phase 6\.
Additional Ch 16-77 player-encountered historical figures cascade Phase 6 per ChapterDesign authority.
Where documented historical figures appear outside their documented era, the game uses time-fluctuation mechanic per T1\_Vril\_and\_Magic\_System\_Master cross-reference. Protocol binds:
Ibn Battuta encounter at Ch 08 follows the protocol — documented visit date used; protagonist helps verify observations; Battuta's documented writings later reference an unusual traveler from the east as meta-content. Dr. Amara Obi and Dr. Solange Diallo follow the protocol at archetype-framing protecting specific individuals from fictional-dialogue-attribution concerns.

Decision 1 ratified — per-chapter primary organization at H3 within §3 Ch 02-15 plus §4 Ch 16-77 framework, with cross-cutting frameworks (recurring characters at §5, trade master home-base roster at §6, antagonist family local agent patterns at §7, documented historical figures at §8) as secondary sections. Pushback against the Phase 5K-2 prompt's hybrid character-class-at-H2 recommendation — region page build cascade reads all NPCs for one chapter together as the canonical access pattern; character-class-primary fragments per-chapter rosters across multiple sections.
Decision 2 ratified — home-base teacher named-NPC roster at canon-reference scope (10 home-base teacher positions, of which Ch 02-15-anchored positions canonize at v1.0 with named individuals; Ch 16-77-anchored positions canonize as framework with named-TBD-pending Phase 6 spine cascade). Pushback against the Phase 5K-2 prompt's 50-Inner-Order-master canonization recommendation — 12-tier × 10-trade \= 120-gate framework at T1\_Trades\_Master is questline gate canon per Decision 1A locked Phase 5I, not 120 distinct individual trade master NPCs; per-tier mastery questline gate roster authority remains at T5 Trade\_Detailed scope per CVD §12.1 detail pointer.
Decision 3 ratified — player-encountered documented historical figures only at T3 Supporting full canon. Broader documented historical substrate appearing only as substrate reference without direct in-game encounter remains at T2 ResearchBasis substrate scope.
Decision 4 ratified — Ch 02-15 full canonical population at v1.0 plus Ch 16-77 framework stubs at canonical-anchor-only level. Full Ch 16-77 NPC population cascades during Phase 6 region page build feedback per pipeline-driven schema discipline locked at Session 5L-3.
Drift A applied per T1\_Trades\_Master v1.0 canonical lock — Trade 4 Herbalism ancient home base canonical at Ch 07 South India per T1\_Trades\_Master §3.4 (pre-restructure source draft framed Ch 11 Congo as Herbalism Mastery HOME BASE; corrected to cross-chapter advancement teacher framing for Molonge at Ch 11 anchored on Baka pharmacopoeia substrate). Trade 2 Mining ancient home base canonical at Ch 19 Persia per T1\_Trades\_Master §3.2 (pre-restructure source draft framed Ch 14 Nubia as a Mining home base; corrected to tier-seed teacher framing for Netekamani at Ch 14). Trade 8 Engineering ancient home base canonical at Ch 27 C Europe per T1\_Trades\_Master §3.8 (Ch 23 Greece is Boss anchor not home base per Decision 3A locked Phase 5I). Trade 1 Animal Communication ancient home base teacher at Ch 12 W Africa names to Priestess Senami per python-colony-communication substrate primacy (Phase 6 spine-cascade pinning, reframed off the serpent-deity-echoing Dahndah per §17.1). Applied at §6 plus §3.07 plus §3.11 plus §3.12 plus §3.14.
Drift B applied per CVD §17.1 plus T1\_Vril §12.5 plus T1\_IPW §8.9.5 plus T1\_Combat\_System\_Spec — Ch 57 Australia hard line at no antagonist family presence and no combat against community representatives and no fauna combat; combat at Ch 57 routes through environmental hazards plus astral mode plus vril-substrate-defense modes; applied at §4.4. Ch 29 Sámi joik-substrate boundary applied at §4.2 plus §6.9. Ch 42 Haiti Vodou-living-religion respect applied at §4.3 plus §6.7. Pillar 12 three-layer engagement plus surface-layer playability preserved per cultural authenticity discipline at all high-care chapters.
Drift C applied per CVD §17.9 Grand Sage protection — pre-Ch 76 NPC content describes only the method of Grand Sage communication, never the identity, never thematic framing that retroactively makes sense only after the Ch 76-77 reveal. Applied at §3.06 (Uru Warige Wanniya recognition beat), §3.09 (Zelalem silent-recognition beat), §3.13 (/Xoana recognition beat), and across all NPC recognition figures — describes-not-identifies discipline binds across the doc.
Drift D applied per CVD §6 sourced material discipline plus removal of staging-doc-style format violations from pre-restructure draft — flag tags (\[NPC X of 8\], \[CASCADE PENDING\], \[CONFIRMED\], \[VERIFY\], \[BRIDGE\]) removed; "documented X" filler repetition reduced to substantive sourced-material citation only; bullet-point hierarchy at indented-deeper-than-one-level removed; markdown asterisks for emphasis except inline lead-in bold removed; affirmative canonical framing applied throughout. Format binds CVD §17.14 plus §20 paste-ready spec.
Pre-restructure source docs marked for archive at Phase 5M close — Character\_Development absorbed at framework level (Sections 1, 6 already absorbed at 5K-1; Sections 2, 3, 4 plus Ch 03-16 NPC references absorbed at 5K-2; Section 5 Familiar profiles outside scope per T3\_Familiars\_Named post-Phase-5); T3\_Supporting\_Characters pre-restructure draft absorbed at canonical level (all sections canonized at §2-§9 with format cleanup, authority-pointer rewrite, trade-master-assignment correction, and Ch 16-77 framework expansion). T0\_Character\_Index supporting-character rows populate immediately following T3\_Supporting v1.0 lock per Session 5K-2 sequencing.
Phase 5 sessions pending — 5K-3 T4\_House\_of\_Velheim\_Canonical refine plus T0\_Antagonist\_Network\_Registry populate, 5L T0\_Hard\_Lines aggregate, 5M close-out arc.
End of T3\_Supporting\_Characters.
